Meet Little Cricket - circa 1979

Oh this little girl. What a bright, resilient, loving, wise, old soul she is.

My mother was diagnosed with bipolar 1 when I was just 6 months old. Much of my experience in my early life up to her passing was that the world around me was violent, chaotic, unsafe, and unstable.

Around the age of 9, I can recall having an incredible intuition and knowing about the world, how I best fit in it, and that my life has a purpose. I figured out how to survive and get my needs met - sort of - more on that later.

Around the age of 11, it became clear to me that I had a powerful voice that people listened to - just ask my dad, brother, and my 12 aunts and uncles. By 14, I had come to realize what an open book I was and the power of vulnerability to create safety.

Fun fact: my older brother started calling me Cricket because he couldn’t pronounce “Christa.” It stuck.

Unhealed trauma is no joke.

It’s not easy for me to look back on the years between 28 and 43; the height of my alcohol abuse and being a complete workaholic.

I thought I was “driven,” but in fact, I was escaping. Fast forward to 2012 when I attended a soul retreat at Sedona Soul Adventures, which was the path to my “shift.”

That year, I became a certified hypnotherapist, Reiki practitioner, twice certified life coach, and nutritional therapist and launched my company Fitlandia. By giving up alcohol in 2015 for a year, I developed a new perspective on life - and released 50 lbs of trauma.

But the healing wasn’t complete.

Today I am vibrant, joyful, and healthy, and have made huge strides on my healing journey.

The last four years of my life have been something else. I got divorced, received a CPTSD diagnosis, ended an incredibly toxic relationship that stripped me down to my core and surfaced ALL of my unhealed trauma, completed five psychedelic journeys, and from it all…

…launched Cricket Fixes.

Being a human is hard. I’m here to take everything I’ve learned and make it a lot easier for YOU.
